Come celebrate Dr. Seuss’s Birthday with us!

 

Last year we had such a great time - with about 200 people attending the party we hosted here at the library. We were so happy to see all of you! Admittedly, our space is too small to host such a large celebration, so we’ve decided to do something different this year.

 Calais Free Library will be hosting a Dr. Seuss Birthday Party each Tuesday night in March!

The Fourth Annual St. Croix Candlepin Challenge for the Jerry Burns Memorial Cup was held on Sunday, February 24th, 2013 at the St. Croix Bowling Club, Calais, ME.  Taking part were teams from the St. Croix Bowling Club, Bordertown Bowling of St. Stephen, and The Spednic Club of Baileyville.

Florida Implements New Requirement for Canadian Drivers

The Canadian Automobile Association (CAA) advises Canadians that the state of Florida has passed into law a requirement for all non U.S. residents, including all Canadians, to carry a valid International Driver’s Permit (IDP) when driving their own vehicle or a rental vehicle in Florida.

New Brunswick Man Sentenced for Illegal Entry to U.S.

Bangor, Maine: United States Attorney Thomas E. Delahanty II announced that United States District Court Chief Judge John A. Woodcock, Jr. sentenced Garrett Macaskill, 69, of New Brunswick, Canada, to 108 days of imprisonment for illegally entering the United States after having been removed. Macaskill pled guilty on November 19, 2012.
