PAWS Launches City Kitties Food Drive

On October 16th, National Feral Cat Day (NFCD), PAWS Brave Hearts kicked off a City Kitties Food Drive that will continue until December 31st.   As winter quickly approaches, the need for additional dry and canned food for community cats and kittens, at PAWS and in managed outdoor colonies, is growing rapidly.

Monday some worked on Word Searches and just chilled out at Program and talked with friends.

Tuesday some went swimming in Machias, while others stayed back and played Wheel of Fortune. Also a few people cleaned the activity room.

UMM to Host Veterans Breakfast on Nov. 11

The University of Maine at Machias will host a Veterans’ Day reception on Monday, November 11, to honor UMM alumni, students, faculty, staff, and community members who have served in the U.S. armed forces. The breakfast program will begin at 9 a.m. in Kilburn Commons.
