Washington County Sheriff’s Office Weekly Report

February 28 – March 6, 2014

During this time the Washington County Sheriff’s Office responded to 70 calls for service.  Seven bail checks were done by the deputies during this time.  Seven 911 hang up calls were received during this time. All 911 hang up calls require a response from a deputy.  Notable complaints are listed below:

Tractor Supply Company Sees Support Grow During Second Annual National FFA Scholarship Program

Tractor Supply Company and the National FFA Foundation recently announced the results of their second annual Growing Scholars program. From February 14-23, Tractor Supply customers across the country donated $447,671, an increase of more than 20 percent from 2013 donations.

COOPER- Travis H. Hull passed away on March 5, 2014 at a Bangor hospital. He was born on February 8, 1940 to the late Thurston G. Hull and Mildred Hull (Watson) in Martinsburg, W.Va.

CALAIS – Donna Kay Kelley, 51, passed away peacefully with her family by her side Sunday, March 16, 2014 at a hospital in Bangor.  Donna was born on July 26, 1962 to R.C. and Nancy (Wilcoxson) Collins in Columbus, Indiana where she spent her childhood.  She met Jim Kelley in Oklahoma and they were married March 17, 1979.

Living in Maine means accepting that snow will occasionally ruin your plans.  However, this winter has been worst than most, and this week is a fine example of that fact.  The recent storm both delayed Wednesday’s math meet and put off the SkillsUSA team’s journey to Bangor for their state conference.

Eastport Refuses Joint Council Invitation
