3rd Annual Climb for a Cure

CALAIS _ The 3rd Annual Climb for a Cure will be held at the Washington County Community College on Thursday, March 13.

The climb, which will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. on the rock wall in St. Croix Hall, is to help raise money for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.

CareerCenters, part of the Maine Department of Labor, offer a variety of services to help people find employment or upgrade skills. Each center provides several public-access computer workstations with Microsoft Office software, resume writing and cover letter software, Internet access and O’Net software for skills assessment.

PES Dr. Seuss Celebration

Princeton Elementary School held its Dr. Seuss Hullabaloo on Friday, March 7. All pre-k through grade 8 students, teachers and staff participated in reading groups, game groups or as helpers. All students were given cupcakes decorated as Dr. Seuss related objects. Several students and staff members dressed as Dr. Seuss characters. Everyone enjoyed this fun and educational afternoon.
