Tiny snowdrop flowers may bloom this month, even through the snow. Don’t bring them into the house though, it is considered bad luck!

Shrove Tuesday was enjoyed at St. Anne’s Parish Hall with pancakes and sausage. A small attendance but a joyful group. Cookies, tea, coffee and cold drinks were also available.

Calais American Legion

Well Blizzard 2015-Pandora hit us this weekend! Now we are getting hit with an arctic front, real cold! Can’t wait until Memorial Day Weekend! Still compiling a “Veterans Benefit Packet”. Will keep everyone informed on status.

Alexander – Albert Williams Carter Jr., 78, passed away Wednesday, January 21, 2015 at Eastern Maine Medical Center in Bangor.  Albert was born in Brooklyn, NY on April 19, 1936, son of the late Albert and Edith (Olson) Carter Sr.  After graduating from Princeton High School in New Jersey he enlisted in the New Jersey

 Calais - Peter DelMonaco, 87, died January 20, 2015 at the Blaire House Nursing Center in Tewksbury, MA.  Peter was born December 30, 1927 in Providence, RI, the son of Peter and Maria Maddelena (DiCenzo) DelMonaco.  He attended Nathaniel Greene Jr.
