On July 29th, the Calais Department of Health and Human Services office on South Street was notified that it was scheduled to be closed on October 31, 2016. The 13 employees were to relocate to the Machias office.

Scottish Super Group “Dallahan” in Calais on their Extended US Tour!

Calais Celtic Concerts will present Scottish super group Dallahan at the Calais High School, in Calais, on Friday August 12th. The group performed at the W.C.C.C., last year to a packed audience, and were one of the highlights of the CCC Series last summer. Showtime will be at 7:00 PM US/ 8:00 PM Canadian time.

Sound System Success

The second and last Bose sound system arrived in Calais on Thursday, August 4th, just in time for the International Festival. While one system was being used on the Green for the CDRC chair affair auction, the other was employed on the Wabanaki Waterfront for aspiring young musicians.

Mural Dedication
