FARMINGTON - E. Harold Scholl passed away on March 27, 2017. He carried himself with pride and dignity throughout a long and well-lived life of 96 years. During that time, he did all he could to support his family and others less fortunate. 

Shead High School Champions Recognized at State House

On Thursday, April 6th, Senator Joyce Maker (R-Washington) welcomed the Shead High School Girls Basketball Team from Eastport to the State House in Augusta.

During their visit, Sen. Maker and Rep. William Tuell (R-East Machias) presented the team with a Legislative Sentiment recognizing their achievement of winning the Class D North Championship.

On April 28, 29 and 30, PAWS Brave Hearts will host a feline spay/neuter clinic in partnership with the Community Spay-Neuter Clinic (CSNC), AWS/The Cleo Fund and HELP FIX ME!  Back by popular demand, this convenient, low-cost clinic is available to all income-qualified Washington County families on a first come, first served basis.

Senator Collins Honored by National Association for the Support of Long Term Care

The National Association for the Support of Long Term Care (NASL) honored U.S. Senator Susan Collins with the NASL Award. The organization recognized Senator Collins for her leadership on issues important to seniors, including introducing bipartisan legislation to repeal arbitrary Medicare therapy caps as well as to fix the 3-day hospital stay rule.
