CES Hokey Pokey Fair

Photo: Despite the rain, the Darling's Ice Cream Truck was on hand to give students ice cream for this end of the year celebration. The ice cream is free but anyone can donate (the suggestion is $1) with all the money going back to the organization chosen, in this case the Calais Elementary School. 

Calais High School Honor Parts

Delayne Hold is a graduate of Calais High School and is this year’s Salutatorian. She has been involved in several extra-curricular and co-curricular activities such as volleyball team manager and is a member of JMG and STW where she was an officer. She plans to attend Eastern Maine Community College. Calais High School wishes Delayne the best of luck! 

Valero Gas Station Renovations

Hardwicke's Valero gas station is undergoing major renovations as the 30-year old tanks are being replaced per state regulation and two new pumps are being installed. The work is expected to take a month, during which time the business is effectively closed. According to owner Bill Kilby, the Citgo pumps will be replaced in 2020. (Lura Jackson photo). 

Class of Yoga Teachers Graduates from Peaceful Postures

St. Croix Snack Shack to Open on Route 1

Photo: The St. Croix Snack Shack will be opening the weekend of June 30th to satisfy cravings for the familiar - including burgers, hot dogs, lobster rolls, and ice cream - and the exotic, including freshly made gazpacho soup. The Shack is located where the former Ice Cream Patch was and it has been revitalized by the Feldkirchers of Utah.

Local Beauty Queens to Compete at USA National Miss in Florida

Summer Day Camp

 

The Day Camp program will be held at the Woodland Elementary School. Children in Grades 1 / 8 (entering )from 9 am - 3:30 pm,  are welcome to participate. The cost is $5 a day for residents and $10 per day for non-residents. F.M.I. please contact the Recreation Dept. at 427-6205 or on Facebook.
