Pool Getting Sealant

 

Applying a fresh coat of sealant at the Howard Fox Memorial Pool are Craig Morrison, Kobey Gillespie and Logan Huckins. The pool opened for the season on Tuesday, June 27th. Letter to the Editor - Fish going down stream from the dam

To The Editor:

About the news about the fish being cut up going down river through the dam.

Without shutting down the dam, the fish can safely go through, there is a way to avoid this. There would be a detour sluice or man-made detour stream.

Robbinston – Clifton V. Brooks, 94, passed away Tuesday, June 20, 2017.  Clifton was born in Robbinston on December 31, 1922, son of Adam and Mary (Nash) Brooks.  At a young age, the family relocated to California where he went through Jr. and Sr. High School.

Stolen Vehicle Dumped in St. Croix River

Photo: A maroon 2007 Honda SUV was reported to be headed into the St. Croix River early Friday morning by a Canadian bystander. Police and rescue personnel quickly responded but no driver could be located. The vehicle was confirmed to be stolen from the Calais fire department parking lot.
