Calais Celtic Concerts Opens Its Summer Season with The JEREMIAHS From Ireland!

Thanks in part, to a grant from Culture Ireland, The Award Winning Irish Band, The Jeremiahs, will be our featured act in June. Playing at the Calais High School, on Wednesday June 21st, at 7:00 PM US/ 8:00 PM Canadian time. The doors will open at 6:00 PM EST.



 Perry – Victoria Anne Lincoln, 58, passed away peacefully Saturday, June 10, 2017 at Calais Regional Hospital surrounded by her family.  Vicki was born in Plymouth, MA on January 19, 1959, daughter of the late Bernard and Cyrena (Marshall) Veader. 

Community Expresses Concerns of Obstetrics Unit Closure at Vigil

A vigil for the pending closure of the Calais Regional Hospital’s Obstetrics wing was held on Friday, June 2nd, in Memorial Park. Approximately 30 people attended to express their solidarity in what they feel will be a significant loss to the community. (Photo by Lura Jackson). See story on page 3.

St. Croix No. 1 Firehouse Receives Donation from Bangor Savings Bank

Delilah's Ice Cream Shop

Delilah's Ice Cream Shop is now open in Baileyville on Palm Street. The shop offers ice cream, haddock, fresh lemonade, and pulled pork, among other items. As part of its grand opening, the shop is offering five prizes - all customers are given a ticket for a drawing for the items that will be held on June 10th.
