Street Dance - A Fun Party

What better way to start the International Festival Festivities than to have a giant block party open to both sides of the Border? 

The Calais Fire Association’s Street Dance has been a long time festival hit with kids of all ages from both sides of the border.

 A Benefit Concert at the Perry Congregational Church by the country band Timber Creek this past Saturday raised over a thousand dollars to benefit the family of Vicky Lincoln, who served the community for many years.  The band contributed their music, and an audience of a hundred people did the rest.  Thanks are expressed to all for this generous good work.

Troy Ramsdell and I were the Color Guard for the Defenders Diabetes Ride Saturday! The Defenders are a chapter of law enforcement officers and first responders supporting the diabetes cause throughout the United States.

Collins, King Announce More Than $300,000 to Keep Maine’s Pipelines Safe

U.S. Senators Susan Collins, the Chairman of the Transportation, Housing and Urban Development (THUD) Appropriations Subcommittee, and Senator Angus King, a member of the Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee, announced that the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) has awarded $303,037 to the Maine Public Utilities Commission.
