On Saturday in Dennysville, as well as the monthly breakfast at the Parish Hall, there was a fond farewell funeral and Celebration of Life for Myron Curtis that was full to capacity and more.  He will be greatly missed.

PAWS Brave Hearts Participates in 2018 Community Matters More

Each February, Maine and New Hampshire residents have an opportunity to help Bangor Savings Bank award $100,000 in grants to 45 nonprofit organizations who make a difference in their lives.  This year, PAWS Brave Hearts, your local animal rescue, adoption and education center, has been honored by being placed on the Community Matters More ballot in the Hancock/Washi



Eastport/Calais - John R. Wentworth, 68, passed away with his children by his side on Friday, February 9, 2018. John was born in Eastport on July 12, 1949, son of John Philip Wentworth and Corinne (Camick) Wentworth. 


Calais - Myrtle Smith of Marshall’s Healthcare Facility, Machias, Maine, and formerly of Calais, Maine, passed away on February 06, 2018, ten days before her 96th birthday. She was the younger daughter of Wallace Zwicker and Alice Morse Trecartin Zwicker of White Head Island, Grand Manan, NB.

As life goes on, I find it harder to figure out what my priorities are. Does anyone have this problem or is it me? Now tonight I have choices to make and not sure which way to go. 


Lambert Lake and Vanceboro - Becky Elaine Devoe, 58, passed away Sunday, January 28, 2018 at Eastern Maine Medical Center in Bangor surrounded by her family. Becky was born in Princeton on February 3, 1959, daughter of Bernard and Ella (Stover) Devoe.


Bangor and Baileyville - Brenda S. Corbett (Meme) 68, was lifted into the arms of her loving Lord on February 4th, 2018 surrounded by her family after a courageous and hard-fought battle with cancer. Brenda was born on April 30th, 1949 in Princeton, the daughter of Phyllis and Carroll Corbett.
