Pre-K/Kindergarten:  Throughout the school year, our classroom has been listening to music by Rick Charette.  We were very excited to meet Mr. Charette in person when the Charlotte School invited us to their school to see him.

Grades 1 & 2: In recognition of Thanksgiving, students composed a list of things they are thankful for.  They also made black crayon and watercolor turkeys and learned the poem “Over the River and Through the Woods” by Lydia Maria Child, which they recited for each classroom.  With the help of family members, each student decorated  a turkey at home.  These “home-grown turkeys” have been on display in the hall.

Last week first and second graders joined  pre-K and K to experience the big travel map of the United States.  Working together students were able to “put our country together” state by state.

Students have been busy writing letters to Santa that will also be sent to WQDY radio station (92.7 FM).  Beginning Dec.3, letters will be read on air each night from 4:45 to 5:00 p.m.  Be sure to listen for ours!

GRADES 3 & 4:  They have been practicing their play.  The play is scheduled to be performed on December 12 at 6:00.  Also, we are currently starting to read two nonfiction chapter books -- LOST ON A MOUNTAIN IN MAINE and SACAGAWEA.
