Baileyville Police Report

The Baileyville Police Department had another relatively quiet week dealing with domestic dispute, accident report, vehicle stops and two arrests.

On January 21, on duty officer responded to a domestic dispute on Hillside Street. The reason for the call was a verbal disagreement between two members of the household. The arguers were separated and the scene cleared.

On January 24 a driver reported to the police station that his vehicle had been hit by lumber falling from a truck. The lumber hit his vehicle causing damage. This was classified as a non reportable accident.

On January 26th on duty officer responded to a 911 hang up on Summit Street. As a result of the follow up, Jacob Mecker, 23 of Baileyville was arrested for domestic assault. He was transported to Washington County Jail in Machias.

On January 26 as a result of a vehicle stop on Broadway, Aaron Gallway, 20, of Baileyville was arrested for Operating Under the Influence. he was transported to the Washington County Jail in Machias.

The department made twelve vehicle stops and issued two citations.
