Sunrise Christian Church News: Volunteers completed more pine paneling in the dining hall of the church on Saturday. The ceiling including the kitchen is now finished as well as the south wall near the Crocket Building. New video equipment has enabled parishioners to sample Advent Christian missionary work in Thailand and the Philippines through the annual Penny Crusade Drive. Easter Sunday worship will include a baptism thanks, in part, to the newly formed bucket brigade. On April 7, Russell Carle will be preaching and a luncheon will follow for the newest members. Fundraising efforts are centered on missions, expanding the bathroom and adding a hood to the large gas range.

PES boys’ and girls’ after school basketball teams are still busy with practices and games. Further information for after school programs, lunch menus and other on-going learning can be obtained from the school’s website.

Sympathy is extended to the family of Barry Wheaton on his recent passing. Mr. Wheaton was a man that enjoyed his family and the outdoors. At one time, he had a fishing tackle shop on Main St. The great elementary school that students now enjoy is a reality because of Mr. Wheaton’s vision.

The Princeton Farmers’ Market Potluck Meeting is Sunday, April 14th at 4:00 p.m. at the Princeton Grange on West St. Anyone interested in vending for the market for this season should attend this planning meeting. This will be the third season so all past vendors are advised to attend as well.

This is a hybrid market so all growers and artisans are welcomed.
