Baileyville Police Report

The Baileyville police were busy last week responding to calls for harassment, violation of bail conditions, theft, domestic violence, criminal mischief and paper services.

On April 9, police were called to the Waste Water Treatment Plant where a door had been kicked in. This incident is under investigation.

On April 9, Rent-a-Center reported to Main Street to pick up their property from renters and found the door to the residence ajar. Police were called to check out premises. They found television on and no one home.

On April 10, on-duty officer was called to Indian Township for a mutual assist on a domestic violence incident. This incident resulted in an arrest made by Indian Township police.

On April 11 and 12, harassment warnings were issued to a man and woman on Summit Street.

On April 12, on-duty officer responded to an unattended death on Second Avenue.

On April 14, a juvenile was apprehended for a theft. The victim did not want to press charges. Subsequently the juvenile was summonsed for possession of alcohol by a minor.

On April 15, a complaint came in for erratic operation of a vehicle on Route 9. The vehicle was not located.

On April 15, Corey Townsend was arrested at the Bit Stop for violation of bail conditions and operating after suspension.  Townsend was transported to the Washington County Jail.

The department also made thirteen vehicle stops last week.
