ROBERT “BOB” MESERVE

Baileyville - Robert “Bob” G. Merserve, 51, died unexpectedly at his home in Baileyville on April 12, 2013. He was born in Calais on October 9, 1961, the son of Gordon and Sherrill “Scott” Meserve.

Bob attended various schools due to military transfers and obtained his GED. He received a certificate in welding from WCCC in Calais and an advanced certificate in welding in Morgantown, West Virginia. He worked as a united iron worker in industrial construction.

He enjoyed the outdoors and repairing automobiles. He liked antiques, especially antique cars. He loved animals and enjoyed playing pool, reading and spending time with family and friends.

Bob was predeceased by maternal and paternal grandparents, his father and a son, Gordie Corbett. He is survived by his mother Sherrill Meserve and a brother Rocky Meserve, both of Baileyville, and a son, Matthew Meserve of Lamoine, ME. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Graveside services will be held Monday, April 22 at the Woodland Cemetery in Baileyville at 1:00 p.m. A gathering of family and friends will be held at the W.T. Wren Post 23 Legion Hall immediately following the service.
