Calais – Adolphus “Dolph” G. Lentz, 94, passed away Saturday, May 11, 2013 at David Estates in Machias.  Dolph was born in Charlotte, NC, on February 5, 1919, the son of the late Adolphus G. and Kathleen (Keister) Lentz.  Dolph served in the Pacific with the Navy Seabees Second Battalion during World War II.  He worked for the Dead River Oil Company for 36 years, retiring in 1981 as a Branch Manager.  Dolph was a member of the Calais United Methodist Church, Sherman Bros. Post #3 American Legion in Calais, and Boyd-Smith Post #9779 V.F.W. in Calais.  He was Past President of the Calais Rotary Club, past member of Literacy Volunteers of America in Maine, and a past member of the Board of Directors of the Calais Regional Hospital.  Dolph was predeceased by his wife Winifred E. (Kelley) Lentz on February 8, 2005; a daughter, Pauline “Honey” Chase; and two grandsons, Thomas C. Robinson and Dolph Frost.  Surviving are his one son Clifford “Kip” Robinson and his wife Barbara of Machias; one granddaughter Brenda L. Ramsdell and her husband Randy of East Machias; great-granddaughters Kellie Ramsdell Kilton and her husband Adam, and Shana Ramsdell; a grandson Dominic Frost; great-great-granddaughters Kisten and Baylee Kilton; two brothers, Joe Lentz and his wife Loretta of Charlotte, NC, and Tom Lentz of Myrtle Beach, SC; and several nieces and nephews.  A graveside service will be held Wednesday, May 22, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. at Calais Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, those who wish may make gifts in Dolph’s memory to the Calais United Methodist Church, 849 Main St., Calais, ME 04619, or to a charity of one’s choice.  Arrangements by Mays Funeral Home, Calais & Eastport.  Condolences and memories may be shared at
