MAY 15: St. Croix Int’t. Quilters will be meeting at the Calais Methodist Homes Rec. Center at 6pm.  Program will be Dresden Plate with Joanne Spencer.  Refreshments will be served.  Public welcome.
MAY 15: St. Croix Valley Int’l Garden Club invites you to join them on a Garden Tour. Meet at 11:00 am in Orono at the Lyle Littlefield Ornamental Gardens, UMO. The tour will continue on to the Garden of Lisa Colburn author of “The Maine Garden Journal”. Bring a picnic lunch.
MAY 16: Spring Pot Luck Supper at Christ Episcopal Church, Key St., Eastport at 5:30 p.m. Bring a dish to share! Public invited.
MAY 16: Calais United Methodist Church Supper at 5:00 p.m. Baked beans, casseroles etc. 454-3926.
MAY 18: Bean supper at West Lubec Methodist Church at 5:00 p.m.
MAY 18: Fiddlers’ Showcase and family dance to benefit Maine Fiddle Camp, a non-profit organization, at Machias Grange Hall, 1 Elm Street, Machias. Begins at 6:00 p.m.
MAY 18: Meeting of the Washington County historical and genealogical society at the Emergency Management Room in Machias at 1:00 p.m.
MAY 19: Pipe Organ Concert featuring Ray Cornils at Congregational Church of Calais at 7:00 p.m. Refreshments.
MAY 20: Pembroke Historical Society presents River Dike and River Lock, program about Machias Middle River Dike at Pembroke Historical Society Museum, Old County Road, at 7:00 p.m. All welcome. 207-726-4747.
MAY 20: Washington County Local Emergency Planning Committee will meet at the Lubec Fire Station at 6:00 p.m. FMI contact Mike at 255-3931 or 263-5990.
MAY 21: The International Homecoming Festival will hold their monthly meeting at the Calais Motor Inn at 6:00 p.m. All are welcome. volunteers are needed for everything related to this annual celebration, from making phone calls and addressing envelopes to brainstorming ideas and organizing events.  Come have fun while doing something great for your community.  FMI, Marcia Hayward, 263-4711.
MAY 25: The Pembroke Volunteer Fire Department Auxillary is having a Pancake Breakfast with an extensive menu. 7-9 am. at the Fire Station.
MAY 29: Seniority Breakfast Club will meet at 7:00 a.m. at the Wickachee, followed by a walk on the Calais Waterfront Walkway.

-Wednesdays: AL-ANON meets at 6:30 p.m. in the old Calais Hospital basement.

-Mondays - Weekly computer tutorials beginning at Lincoln Memorial Library in Dennysville 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Open and free to all.
-Saturdays: Shape-Note singing at the Cobscook Community Learning Center, first Saturday of every month from 2:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Potluck supper after. All levels of experience welcome.
-3rd Saturday of Each Month: Calais Chapter of the American Sewing Guild meets at the Second Baptist Church, Church Street, Calais at 10:00 a.m. FMI call Irene at 454-2422.
1st Thursday of the Month: WCDA will meet at the Machias CareerCenter and by video-conference at WCCC President’s Conference Room from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
1st Monday of the Month: Caregiver Support Group meets at the Maine Seacoast Mission in Cherryfield at 2:00 p.m. Contact number is 546-4456.
