High School Baseball


In a slugfest at Lincoln the Blue Devils exploded with 20-hits paced by 3-each by Jonathan Edwards, Kyle Johnson, PJ Descoteaux, and Tyler Morrison, while on the hill Logan Johnson and Tyler Morrison shared the duties allowing 9-hits with 4K and 6-bb for an 18-9 win. Field & Pelkey were repeat hitters for the Lynx with 2-singles each.

Kyle Johnson and Tyler Morrison combined on the mound against WA for a 7-hitter but excessive walks gave the visiting Raiders the edge needed in securing an 8-4 win. Fred McLean led the guests attack with 3-singles. The Blue Devils had 2-hits each by Logan Johnson, Lucas Knowles, and Ryan Johnson, and 1-each from Jon Edwards, PJ Descoteaux, and Tyler Morrison.

In a gallant effort the Woodland Dragons battled back from a 12-5 deficit against Machias to lose by a single run, 13-12 after 7-full innings of action in soaking wet conditions. CJ Brown and Damon Lincoln combined of the seven frames in a 7-hitter. Dustin Getchell was the lone repeat hitter (HR) on the Bulldogs, while Woodland had Scott Boies leading all hitters with 3-singles.

AT PVHS a 4-run opening frame led by a Chad Gagner homer and hits from Lincoln, Boies, and Cochran helped pace the Dragons over their hosts in an exciting 9-8 contest at Howland. Tyler and Damon combined in the win with 9H, 2K, and 1-walk. Hoops, Lincoln, and Cochran all had 3-hits in the 1-run victory.

In a fantastic outing CJ Brown hurled a 2-hitter at Harrington with only 1-walk while taking 12K over seven frames. Tyler Cochran paced the Dragon hitting with 3-singles, while Hoops and Boies (2doubles) added two each in the 10-3 win.
