Knock on Wood Celebrates with Open House

A tradition of Knock on Wood is the fudge available for purchase.  Sixteen different varieties are made at the store and each is just as popular to give as a gift as to receive one.  Pictured is employee Tammie Myers.  (Photo by Jayna Smith)

With an extensive display of merchandise in stock, Knock on Wood in Baring hosted an open house last Saturday. The business offered 20% off storewide savings, door prizes, and snacks and beverages throughout the day to celebrate the grand reopening of its upstairs Christmas shop.  Additionally, the first 50 customers of the day each received a free Yankee Candle.

Candy Bridges, who co-owns the business with her daughter Brittany Drew, said of the event, “We want to let people know we are under new ownership and also want to show our appreciation for all of the positive feedback we have received.”

Bridges said lots of new merchandise has arrived and will continue to fill the shelves.  Shoppers will still enjoy many collectibles such as Byers Choice and Department 56 Snowbabies, and of course the store still offers several different flavors of fudge made onsite.

The gift shop is stocked full of lavish displays on the two levels, with pleasant staff ready to assist shoppers. Customers can still enjoy having their purchases gift wrapped.  Open seven days a week, Knock on Wood also offers shipping throughout the United States and Canada..
