The Robbinston Grange met on Monday, October 14th at 6:30 p.m. at the Sewall Memorial Congregational Church. It was decided to make copies of the Robbinston by-laws for each member and to also make copies of the state Grange by-laws in order to update them. These will be passed out at the next meeting which will take place Monday, November 11th at the Wickachee Restaurant at 5:30 p.m. If you are curious about the Grange, please stop by and we will answer your questions.

On Thursday, October 17th the Robbinston Historical Society met at the Visitors’ Center. After the secretary’s and treasurer’s report were read, it was noted that the September 28th concert was very successful. The date for the Christmas Tea will be Saturday, December 7th starting at 11:00 a.m. Tickets and posters will be distributed. If you would like a ticket, contact an officer of the society. There will also be entertainment and a raffle. The next meeting will be on Thursday, November 14th at 7:00 p.m. to make final plans for the tea.

On Saturday, October 19th, Darlene McConnell and I attended the concert at WCCC featuring Ken and Jane Brooks and their friend Eric Boothroyd. It was a mixure of bluegrass, old-fashioned rock and roll and country. Proceeds went to fund a scholarship for a WCCC students. There is a special raffle of a drawing by Ken Brooks. The proceeds which will create a scholarship for a veteran. CDs and notecards were also for sale and there were light refreshments.
