Library News

We are pleased to host the art work of Susan Lehnen for the entire month of March.  Susan has lived in Baring, Maine with her family since 1997 and is originally from Michigan. Susan has created a collection of pieces: paintings, assemblages, and drawings which give a fresh outlook on abandoned decaying places that once were thriving lively homes.  She portrays the farmhouses and homes left to fall apart with both eloquence and sensitivity to the people who once occupied each dwelling.  Join us at the library during the month of March and witness an extraordinary collection of pieces showcasing what makes us both humble and real.    Susan will be adding three more pastels the week before her artist reception that are part of a body of work which she has entitled: " parade of broken and discarded things".

A special gathering will be held in the Art Gallery to celebrate this phenomenal show on Saturday, March 22, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.  Everyone is welcome to stop in and to meet our special artist. Susan Lehman’s work is not to be missed.
