Calais High School

The Calais Middle/High School Student Council and National Honor Society’s second annual Hunger Games was held last Wednesday in a hectic mix of food, music, and presenters.  However, it was undeniably successful, raising $1314 and over one hundred food items for the Irene Chadbourne Ecumenical Food Pantry.  Thank you to Mona Van Wart, Laverne Redding, and David Sivret for speaking, the Calais jazz combo and Jackson Greenlaw for performing, and the community for attending and making donations.

The concert band, jazz combo, and chorus will be holding their annual spring concert on May 7 at 7:00 p.m. at Calais High School.  The entrance cost is $3 for adults, $2 for students, and $10 for a family.  All of the proceeds will go towards summer music scholarships.  Please come out to hear some great music and support our young musicians!

April vacation is the last pause before the end of the year flurry.  We hope everyone enjoys their travel and time off before they jump back into the fourth quarter.
