New Computers for Woodland Public Library

All the parts of a Woodland Public Library computer project came together last Tuesday. Becky Varnum had been looking for computers for the library because they had only one computer working for patron usage. She  found out that students in John Bragdon’s St. Croix Regional Technical Center’s computer class could rebuild old computers and Paul Story, Woodland Schools’ Computer Coordinator, had old computers from other replacement projects. Calais High School students Josh Carr and Casey Donovan rebuilt the “old computer” and under Paul Store’s direction installed them in the library. After school the library had six students on working computers for he very first time. It was wonderful. (Photo by Dorothy Johnson).
