Memorial Day is on May 26th.

Celebrate National Carton Art Appreciation Week.

There was a joyous evening of singing at the Second Baptist Church last Wednesday evening, featuring the Ascensions, The Hyssongs and Tony Gore of Tennessee. The church was full and the crowd was on their feet clapping and singing. A wonderful lunch was served following the concert.

A volunteer Appreciation breakfast was held last Wednesday at the Calais Hospital when several gathered. The tables were beautifully set up with blue tablecloths, green runners and pink napkins and roses on each table. A special French toast dish was served, juices, yogurt, coffee and tea. Mr. Lally gave a talk and a warm thank you to all volunteers.

Visiting Pat Yardley on the weekend was Sister Judy from Moncton, NB.

Richard Ouletta of New York and friend Mike from California dropped by to join in breakfast on Sunday with the  group.

Sorry to hear Mae Berry was in for surgery and now recuperating.

Paul Waycott has been in and out of the hospital. Hope he’s improving.

A Baccalaureate Service for Calais High School will be held at  the Second Baptist Church will be held on May 26th at 6 pm.

The Seniority breakfast will be held at the Wickachee on Wednesday, May 28th at 7 A.M.. New members welcome.

Robbinston 5th annual Spring Fling will be at the grade school gym on May 24th, 10:00 A.M. - 1:00 P.M. There will be a Chinese raffle.

All are welcome to St. Anne’s Thursday noon lunch. It varies every week. A donation for the fuel fund.

On May 24th at 9:00 A.M. there will be a Flag Raising Ceremony at the Calais Veterans’ Cemetery.

There will be a Fun and Fashion New to You Accessory  Sale on Saturday, May 24th  from 9:00 to 1:00 U.S. at the Masonic Hall, 9 Main St., St. Stephen. It’s a fun shopping event.

Don’t forget Mary Kay Day on Saturday, May 24th at 10:00 A.M. at Artemis’s Attic at 311 Main St.
