There was no column last month because I was visiting my sister, nieces and grand niece in California. I hadn’t seen them in almost 12 years. It was hot and arid and water was restricted. It’s good to be back in Maine.

On September 2 at the Robbinston Historical Society, Pomona Grange met. A delicious potluck was served followed by the meeting. CWA winners were Helen Brooks and Ralph Flood. Helen won the raffle and Louise Lee won the gas money. The mystery march was won by Chris and Vivien Tinker. Next month Pomona Grange will meet at Perry Grange with installation of officers on October 9.

Happy belated birthday to Jerry Garriot on the 1st, Mark Olson and Thomas Davis on the 2nd. To Derek Moholland on the 7th.

Mike McConnell is home and doing well. Please continue to keep him and Darlene in your prayers.

This Friday at 6:00 p.m. the Robbinston Historical Society will hold a concert which is open to the public. This is a yearly event to mark the anniversary of the founding of the historical society.

Kids are back in school. Drive carefully.
