The Princeton Public Library new addition is now painted and sheet linoleum has been chosen for the flooring. A date for installation of the flooring hasn’t been set yet. After that, we are looking forward to the trim  finishing in the room and on to the heating and bookcases.

 On Sunday, November 9, the Princeton Baptist Church voted to accept John Lane’s offer to be Interim Pastor. He will be on a four-day-a week schedule, having open office hours part of the time. The church office can be called at: 796-2736 and a message can be left if the Pastor isn’t in. A Pulpit Committee will be formed to begin the process of looking for a full-time Pastor. John and his wife, Beulah, retired here a few years ago, so the congregation is grateful he is willing to serve in the interim.

 Princeton Elementary School news is: The PTO meeting which was scheduled for this Wed. evening, the 12th, has been indefinitely postponed. Mrs. Cochran-Barnes reminds folks about the basket raffle for the Christmas Program. The raffle has been the biggest fundraiser for the PTO. On Thursday, the 13th at 1:15. there is a recognition assembly for Honor Roll and Perfect Attendance. Friday, the 14th is Early Release Day and the students will have lunch and then be dismissed at 10:55.

 The SCEC has announced many programs for the next several weeks. A few highlighted here are: A special forum for Small Business Employers is being offered on Health Insurance Options. It will be on Friday, Nov. 14 from 7-8pm at the Machias Savings Bank in Machias. For more info call Joseph Stone at 617-565-1297. To Register for the free program, call Deb Shields at 853-0189.

 The Maine Writers and Publishers Alliance is sponsoring 2 writing workshops at the Cobscook Community Learning center. On  Nov.22 from 1-4 there will be a multi-genre workshop in literary emotional risk-taking. On Dec. 6 from 1-5 the workshop will focus on fiction writing-balancing scene and exposition.
