Troop J Report

This week Troop J responded to 147 calls for service. The following are noteworthy complaints:


Trooper Jacob Ferland stopped a motor vehicle operated by a 20-year-old Bucksport man for a loud exhaust. During the stop, Trooper Ferland discovered that the operator had placed a plate from a different vehicle on the car he was operating. The vehicle was towed and the operator was charged with attaching false plates.


Sergeant Jeffrey Ingemi arrested a 43-year-old man in Marshfield for having active warrants for his arrest. He was a passenger on a traffic stop.


Trooper Kim Sawyer received a report from the Princeton Irving that they had a gas drive off. Investigation continues.


Sergeant Jeffrey Ingemi, Trooper Chad Lindsey, Trooper Chris Smith and his K-9, Winger, assisted the Maine Warden Service in Lubec with a subject that had fled into a wooded area and had active warrants for her arrest. The 30-year-old woman was found and arrested for having the active warrant for her arrest.

Trooper Chris Smith summoned a 32-year-old Milbridge man for OAS as the result of a traffic stop in Sullivan.

Trooper Bryan Creamer was stopped on the side of Route 1A in Dedham on a traffic stop with Trooper Jacob Ferland. Trooper Creamer had his emergency lights activated and a vehicle went by at a high rate of speed on the same side of the roadway without moving over. Through investigation, a 51-year-old Bangor woman was summoned for operating after suspension.

Trooper Barnard responded to a single vehicle crash on the Smith Ridge Road in Dennysville. The 55-year-old operator was located at the hospital and charge OUI and OAS.


Trooper Kim Sawyer summoned a 23-year-old Princeton woman for operating without a license after a rollover accident on the S. Princeton Road, Princeton.

Trooper Jacob Ferland was on patrol and came across a crash in Sedgwick on Rt. 172. Trooper Ferland smelled alcohol on the 55-year-old operator of Milford. As a result of the investigation, the operator was arrested for OUI and charged.

Trooper Chris Smith investigated a burglary at a restaurant in Sullivan. Trooper Smith located, interviewed and subsequently summoned a 25-year-old Sullivan man for burglary as a result of this incident.


Trooper Jacob Ferland stopped a motor vehicle operated by a 36-year-old Penobscot man in Orland on Rt. 175. The vehicle that he was operating had an inspection sticker that expired in 2012. Further investigation into the stop resulted in locating marijuana and drug paraphernalia. The operator was charged for the drug paraphernalia and his inspection sticker.

Trooper Kim Sawyer summoned a 66-year-old Nova Scotia man for operating without a license on Route 9 in Crawford after a traffic stop for speed. His Nova Scotia license expired 12/31/12.

Trooper Jacob Ferland arrested a 25-year-old Deer Isle man for domestic violence assault. Trooper Bryan Creamer and Deputy Scott Kane assisted.
