Calais High School

Dominic Gayton

Welcome back to the Busy Halls of CHS. After a long holiday break, everyone is back to business at Calais High School and working toward a great 2015. Let’s take a look at what has happened this week.

The Student Council is working diligently on a variety of projects. First, due to popular demand, the class skit is once again going to be a Winter Carnival, in addition to a class video competition. Next, be sure to check out the Student Council’s drink vending machines which are slowly returning to regular operation. This is another way to support the student council.

Academic Decathlon is preparing for the State Competition, but first they must get through regionals and the essay. Academic Decathlon regionals will be held on January 24th and the essays will be written on January 27th. If you know a USAD member, wish them luck.

The National Honor Society induction has been moved to February 7 for all interested in attending.

Stay tuned next week for a special year in review column for the CHS Band program. Until then, thanks for reading.
