Sorry to hear Richard Auletta’s father passed away last week. Richard lives in New York and is preparing to move back to his home in Calais this Spring.

The People’s United Methodist Church in Baileyville with its church members are preparing for their first public supper of 2015 on Thursday, February 5.

I was reading the write-up in the Courier of Marguerite Spinney’s 100th Birthday and all her memories of St. George throughout the years. I used to spend nights with Becky a lot. Never knew who was coming for supper. Marguerite was a hard working lady and hasn’t changed a bit in her looks, God love her. Growing up I picked blueberries for her husband Stanley.

A Valentine’s Day Red Velvet Pancake Recipe: 6 T. white flour, 7 T. oat bran, 1 1/2 tsp. baking power, 1/2 t. salt, 6 T cocoa powder, 1 1/2 t. vanilla, 1 c. pureed raspberries, 3 T canola oil, 6 T. sugar and mini chocolate chips (optional).

Mix dry ingredients. Add wet and mix. Top with whipped cream and chips.
