Alexander Community Christmas Party

Santa Claus stopped by the Alexander Town Christmas party and Cadance Ramsdell  made sure to visit and let Santa know she wanted Goosebumps for Christmas.

The town of Alexander held their annual community Christmas Party on Saturday. The annual event was held at the Alexander Elementary school from 4-6 Saturday evening.

The family friendly event has many different activities and is open to all. Thanks to the generosity of local businesses and the people of the community the whole event is free for everyone. All the food at the event was homemade and brought pot luck style to the school for everyone to enjoy.

After food and while people enjoyed their meals there was live entertainment on the stage provided by Joey Wallace, Dan Daley, other community members, and a very eager group of caroling kids.  Santa stopped by and door prizes were raffled off at the end of the night. For many of the people who have been there year after year the turnout for this year’s event was a welcome sight. There were many more young families there as well as the regular hometown crowd.

It's events like this that speak to what it is really like to be a small town. This is a group of businesses and volunteers coming together to give the community and fun free family evening. While attendees enjoy the evening, they also get to talk and laugh with their friends and neighbors putting aside any other worries. Christmas is a time for giving, sharing, family and friends, and events like this embody that very spirit.

While there wasn't any fee to get into the event they were accepting donations of non perishable food, paper goods, and baby items to be given to local food pantries. Christmas isn’t about presents and shopping; it is about coming together and giving back.
