As the old saying goes “No News is Good News”. Not so true when you are trying to write a column. If you have any family celebrations, trips or accomplishments of your loved ones you would like to share my contact information is at the end of the column.

There is going to be a Turkey Supper with all the fixings at Peoples United Methodist Church in Baileyville on Thursday, February 4th at 4:30 pm.  Take-outs will be available as well.  The cost to get in is $9.00 for adults and $4.00 for children.  The folks at PUMC are well known for their suppers so come enjoy a good meal and wonderful fellowship!

The Free Family Movie Night at the People’s United Methodist Church held on Friday the 22nd was a huge success with approximately 70 folks in attendance.  There is another movie being scheduled for the end of February so keep a look out for that information.

I am again collecting birthdays and anniversary’s to publish in this column. If you have Birthday or Anniversary wishes to share with me let me know.  My contact information is at the end of the column.

Good thoughts are being sent out to the following folks; Mathew Sullivan, Ed Cislak, Rhoda Leavitt, Lynn Hill, Avis McIntyre, Chris Landry, John Harvey, Eleanor Dean, Billy Lawless, Trudy James, Trudy Poole, Elwin Daley, John Haley, Mike and Marilyn Trafton, Carolyn Chretian, Elwin Daley and  Steve Johnson. We cannot forget those wonderful Caretakers and Helpers that sometimes get overlooked in all that they do for their loved ones and those in need.

I would like to send sympathies to the Neddeau Family on the passing of their son, brother and dad.  I am sure that they are going through a very hard time.

I would also like to send sympathy to the family of Foster Carlow Sr.  Foster was a long time resident of Alexander and has spent the last few years with his daughter Vicki out of state.

Lucky Loser the past week at Randy’s Variety was Debbie Dow.  If you would like a chance at being a Lucky Loser, buy an Online Lottery Ticket at Randy’s and if it doesn’t win put in the jar for a second chance at receiving $5 worth of Online Tickets.  Drawings are done weekly.

On to the Cassie update (it’s about all I have this week). Wednesday was my birthday and celebrated it by going with the Beckett Center to Brewer Bowling Lanes in Brewer Maine for Special Olympics Bowling.  It was a great day; I brought home a Blue Ribbon in my division and was able to see many friends from Camp Capella and Pine Tree Camp.  I also saw my special friend Chaplin Mike Hutchins.  It was kind of like a birthday party and they all hugged me and wished me a Happy Birthday!  When I got home I had a delicious homemade meal and a brownie sundae, and visits from my friends Sharon and Gerald Cooper and Elizabeth McVicar (who arrived after I went to bed). My wheelchair has been acting up and making me not feel safe, so Thursday Dad took my chair back to Bangor for a check up and now we are waiting for the parts to be approved by the insurance company, but until then I’ll keeping driving my old power chair to Program

Friday I was supposed to eat out at Yancy’s with my friend Dale, but instead I stayed home with a stomach bug.
