It’s Monday morning as I’m writing this. It is frigid outside. Tomorrow (Tuesday) is supposed to go into the 40s and rain. No wonder so many people are sick. I hope that the frigid weather is over.

Last Saturday, February 13th, the Church Council of the Sewall Memorial Congregational Church met at Sue Crawford’s home for the first meeting of the year. The status of the window repair was discussed. The windows are finished being repaired but the framing needs a little more work. The man replacing the framing found a  lot of rot and the window pieces need some trimming. There will not be a Palm Sunday service but Easter Sunday the church will be open from the 7:00 am service followed by a light breakfast. The Lenten Soup and Sermon schedule was discussed. There are only six Mondays in Lent so area churches are taking turns sponsoring it. The next Council meeting will be at 10 am on Saturday, April 23rd.

I hope everyone had a wonderful Valentine’s Day.

Darlene and Mile McConnell celebrated  their 40th anniversary.

Happy birthday to Arnie Hennequin on the 22nd, Chance Shelton on the 23rd and Estelle Halloway on the 26th.

Please keep Andrea Moore in your prayers as she travels to Portland for surgery.
