If you want to become part of the history of Alexander/Crawford, all my contact information is at the end of the column. This column is being saved in several places for posterity, like the Alexander-Crawford Historical Society Archives and the History Dome on Barrows Lake.

Mark your calendars folks. There is going to be Vacation Bible School taking place at the Church of the Open Bible in Alexander from June 20th to 25th.  This is sure to be a great time for the kids!

The Breakneck Mountain ATV Trails opened on Sunday, May 1st.  Please ride with caution! Club officers are removing signs and checking the trails for any hazardous conditions, but may not have 111 miles covered yet. Please be sure to right ride and ride safe.

The Alexander Volunteer Fire Department and First Responders collect returnable bottles and cans year round. They can be dropped off at Randy’s Variety any time where a volunteer will collect them. So when doing your spring cleaning and don’t know what to do with those pesky returnables, now you do.

Mom is still on restriction, unable to drive and do much around the house, and Dad has continued to help her and me out. Now on top of everything, Carlos Jr. has arrived from Florida for an extended visit.  So far he has kept busy playing with Auntie Cassie, Grandpa, typing stories and playing outside.

If you have news for the column you can get it to me by email at ptcfan@hotmail.com, contact me on my facebook page, by phone at 454-2344 (if I’m not home please leave a message), or dropping off a note at Randy’s Variety for me and Dad will make sure I get it. Until next time, stay safe.
