Opioid & Heroin Forum Continues Communication With Community

On May 2, the latest Opioid and Heroin Forum was held at Calais High School. Over 50 people attended, and after introducing the panel of speakers, attendees were divided into three groups to rotate through three different panel discussions. This more intimate setting helped facilitate deeper conversation, and resulted in bullet points that were important to the community being written down to be shared with the Maine Opioid Collaborative Task Forces.

These meetings will be held quarterly, and everyone in the community is invited to attend. Sponsored by Healthy Acadia, Wabanaki Public Health, Maine Community Foundation, Maine Health Access Foundation, and the Maine Medical Association, it is an opportunity for everyone in the community to ask questions about addiction and how it is being addressed in Washington County.
