Ellen and Ernest Carle returned Saturday from a 2 week trip to Florida. On this drive down they spent a day with Ruth Nuttall in Macungie, PA. They spent four days visiting Joyce Carle Hett at her nursing home in Dowling Park, Fla. Joyce was able to make short trips out in her wheel chair to help make mincemeat, attend church in the Advent Christian Village, and to shop at three local stores. On the drive back to Big Lake, Ernest and Ellen took trips to the Outer Banks in NC, the Chesapeake Bay Bridge, and shopping along Route One. Ernest visited Parks Carle at the veterans’ home in Scarborough. They shared some old stories. On Friday and Saturday, Ernest attended the annual Maine conference of Advent Christians in Bangor. Sounds like you had a nice, scenic trip. Glad you’re back, safe and sound.
