Alexander School

Cassie Oakes

A bit of business from AES’s Thursday Announcements, yes I said Thursday as Friday there was no school.

Don’t forget about Adult Volleyball, which is held on Tuesdays at the AES gym from 7:00-9:00 p.m.  All adults welcome.

The Alexander School still has organic garlic for sale and they are $3.00 per 3 ounce bag.  You can purchase directly from the school during school hours, but if that is on convenient for you give them a call and other arrangements can be made.

It is that time of year again it is getting chilly on the hill at AES and all students should come to school prepared to go outside for recess.  That would include warmer outerwear, hats, mittens or gloves.  Also appropriate foot wear for the playground is a good idea.

If your child wears boots to school, please be sure to send in a pair of sneakers to change into for gym class and to perhaps wear through out the day during school.

AES is having a food drive and is collecting canned goods now until the 18th.  Non-perishable items will be accepted.  If you would like to help out with this program you may drop off food at AES during school hours.

The PTG (Parent Teacher Group) will be having a Thanksgiving basket raffle which will include a complete dinner! Tickets will be $1.00 each or 6 for $5.00 and will be sold until November 18th.  Students will have an opportunity every day to purchase tickets.  If community members would like to buy tickets stop by the school office and see Brenda McDonough.

Due to a short week at AES the library was only open for two days, but it was a fun-filled, book-filled week.
