Meet Our New Provider

Calais Regional Hospital is pleased to announce the addition of Manuel Falcon to the CRH Surgical Department.  Manuel is a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist and looks forward to working with the surgical team providing high quality services to the people of Downeast Maine.  He began seeing patients last week in the surgical department.

Manuel earned his Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from the University of Connecticut in Storrs, CT and his Masters of Science in Nursing degree from Fairfield University in Fairfield, CT.    Manuel has more than 14 years of experience in the nursing field, seven in a Cardio-Thoracic ICU and the last seven as a nurse anesthetist.   His anesthetist experience includes general surgery and a variety of specialties such as; orthopedic, trauma, neuro, bariatric, obstetric and pediatric surgeries.

Manuel relocated to Calais from Stuart, Fl, but is no stranger to New England.  He was born in Peru and moved to Connecticut when he was 7 where he lived for most of his life.    Manuel speaks fondly of his mother, who he remembers working very hard as a CNA to take care of him and his three sisters.  The relocation to Maine brings him closer to them as they all reside in New England.  Manuel’s family includes his wife; Maria and two step daughters ages 11 and 9.  They are excited for the move to a smaller, tight knit community.  The location near the water, small town feel and proximity to Canada were all great features when selecting a new area to call home.  When not working he enjoys woodworking and Maria crocheting.  They also enjoy sightseeing and can’t wait to explore the area.

Please welcome Manuel and his family if the opportunity presents itself.
