On Wednesday, Princeton Elementary School teacher, Mrs. Netzer, facilitated a workshop for 7&8th graders with writer/illustrator Russ Cox from the nonprofit group, Island Readers and Writers. Students received sketchbooks and used his book “Faraway Friends” as a baseline for their own drawings. The students “loved” Russ and his enthusiasm while working with them and invited him to sign their “Author Wall”.

All teams at the PES had successful seasons. Cross-country JH boys finished in first place. The soccer team defeated #1 Eastport in PKs for the championship win and the volleyball girls finished in second place.

PES offered 7&8th grade girls an opportunity to participate in “Totally Trades Conference” at the end of October hosted by WCCC. This event is designed to encourage young women to enter into non-traditional trades and technology fields. They were able to choose two hands-on workshops that focused on a specific career.
