Beckett Center News

It has been a busy couple of weeks here at the Beckett Center. During the week of the 14th we had computer time; some played an exciting game of left, right, center; we had Wii bowling tournaments; some enjoy simply playing cards and chit-chatting. We had a couple of beautiful days where people enjoyed having their basketball practice outside, we also had a basketball practice at the WCCC gymnasium. Some enjoyed going to the Garcelon for swimming and aqua stretch and a lot enjoyed dancing and listening to music. There was a couple days that people went to various places shopping and looking for items to be thinking about for Christmas. Friday we had a scrumptious lasagna dinner with garlic bread, soda, and pumpkin parfaits.

The week of the 21st was a short week due to the Thanksgiving holiday but we still managed to get some of our favorite things in. We had an exercise class and jammed out to music on a day; another day some played Wii bowling and tennis and later in the day listened to rocking music and dancing. We even managed get to the food doctor in this short week! We had a great afternoon playing bingo while others went to the University of Machias to go swimming. There was a lot of talk about what everyone was going to do over the Thanksgiving holiday. Until next time . . .
