Cooper Community Christmas Party

A Christmas party will be at the CCC on Saturday, December 10 from 1 to 4 pm during the regularly scheduled Open House.   Live holiday music by John Viselli will sure to lend a festive atmosphere to the occasion.  Music books will be available for guests to sing along with the Christmas carols.  Many fun activities!

One activity will be decorating sugar cookies with icing of various Christmas colors.   Guests will have cookies to take home to share with family and friends and some cookies will be gift wrapped for delivery to local home-bound residents.

There will be tables supplied with craft materials so guests can make their own ornaments and holiday décor to take home.  Baskets, painted rocks, quilted bags completed throughout this year’s workshops will be on display along with a section featuring items of Cooper history.

Another activity will be making edible ornaments for the birds and will be used to decorate the outdoor Christmas tree.  The tree will be left until spring and members of the CCC Friends group plan to replenish the bird food throughout winter.  This year, solar powered Christmas lights will be used to illuminate the tree.   The outdoor tree lighting ceremony will be held at 4:00 pm.

Refreshments of mulled apple cider, hot chocolate, tea, coffee, cookies, and other holiday inspired delicacies will be catered by the “Friend’s Café”.    This will be the last event of 2016 as the center will be closed until March to save on heating cost as the building is not insulated.   Everyone is welcome.  Please join us for a fun-filled afternoon in Cooper to make 2016 a year filled with Community spirit and pride.
