The major activity for this week in Princeton is the Friends of Princeton Christmas Holiday Home Decorating Contest. This is a new idea for a fun event. Anyone in the Princeton Area including Big Lake and Indian Township can enter. A registration form can be picked up at the Princeton Town Office, the library and Food Mart. Forms need to be returned to the Princeton Town Office by 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 15th.

On Saturday, December 17, after dark, the committee will be judging for the Contest. The judging points will be based on theme, creativity, effort, visibility and coverage.

Then on Wednesday, December 21 the awards will be announced. First place $50 (donated by Friends of Princeton), second place $35 (donated by Friends of Princeton) and third place $25 (donated by Parks and Recreation Committee). Prizes can be picked up at the Bellmard Inn.

Congratulations to Tiffany and Fire Chief Tony and Adison Ramsdell on the arrival of their new baby girl, Ella Grace! Welcome to another new Princeton Resident.

The Town of Princeton issued a notice of the following change at the Transfer Station: As of January 1st, 2017, all tires must be removed from rims. No tires will be accepted if they are on rims.

A REMINDER OF BASIC TRANSFER STATION INFORMATION

The Transfer Station is located on the Eastern Cutoff Rd. Hours are Sunday 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Curbside pickup is Tuesday, each week. Have garbage out by 7:00 a.m.

SOLID WASTE DISPOSAL INFORMATION:
All Solid Waste material can be brought in on the First Sunday of each month at No Charge!
Furniture, Mattresses, Box Springs
Tires of all sizes (Only 4 tires per visit, per family of any size)
*Tires MUST be removed from rims (Tires and Rims both will be accepted)

Also No Charge:
Microwaves, White Goods, Air Conditioners, Refrigerators and Freezers with Freon Removed, Metal Lawn Furniture, and all other metal.

Construction debris must have all nails, screws, hardware and paint removed. No asphalt shingles.

Accepted on THURSDAY at the Town Office:
Televisions, Computers, Monitors, Printers, Fluorescent Lights, Mercury Containing Thermostats, Cell phones, Rechargeable Batteries. (Please alert the town office that you have dropped off the items! There is no fee for dropping items off.)

NO HAZARDOUS WASTE ACCEPTED!
