Happy 2017 from the officers of the Calais American Legion! Looking back on 2016. In May we had our Annual Memorial Day Weekend activities! With the tremendous amount of volunteers distributing over 1000 flags on our veterans graves! It was the  most volunteers that I have seen since I have been commander. I hope we can break this turnout, this year! We had our Annual Memorial Day Parade and Ceremony. We continued Project Legion Flags distributing over 100 flags from the Milltown traffic circle to downtown Calais. We started The Calais Triangle Park Flag Pole Project! A special thanks to the Calais EBS, for  donating one of the 2 flag poles! Also, a big thanks to all the local individual’s and businesses for their monetary donations. You all proved that our community can really come together and support our veterans and their families.

Troy Ramsdell and myself participated with the Veterans Honor Guard at various funerals and events.

I also carried the US Flag in Eastport, for the 4th of July Parade. A special thanks to Darrin McLellan and Troy Ramsdell for providing the Color Guard at various events.
