Martin Luther King, Jr. was born on January 15, 1929. Martin was very famous for his many speeches and marches for civil rights. He believed in equal rights for all races and all people.

Ben Franklin, statesman, inventor and writer was born in Boston, MA on January 17, 1706. He was the first person to prove that lightning was made up of electricity.

January 12th the Full Wolf Moon - The “wolf eyes” cultivar of Chinese dogwood has white star-shape flowers.

The hospital auxiliary met on Monday evening. They opened with prayer, last month’s minutes were read and approved, Treasurers report was given, coffee shop report and our new coffee shop scheduler, Heather Morrison, spoke. Reports were given on our Christmas Bazaar which was a success. A lovely thank you was received from CRMS Jo Shannon AED, as Baileyville office provider and support staff.

50/50 winner was Mae Berry. Next meeting will be Monday, February 6th at 5:30. Potluck and Valentine bingo following the meeting.

My grandson, Liam of New Hampshire, was home from Moody Bible for his Christmas break doing a lot of shoveling. His brother Bub is in the Air Force in Japan. My oldest granddaughter is now in Tennessee in the OR working. She loves it. My youngest, Kate, will graduate in May and attend Teachers College in Mass.

Sympathy to the Donovan family on their loss of Wimmie.
