Please join me in sending condolences to the family and friends of Grita Carson-Preston, formerly of Crawford, Maine. Many of you may have known Grita’s son, David Carson who resided in Alexander for years and now has a summer home on Crawford Lake.

Don’t forget that People’s United Methodist Church in Baileyvile will be having a turkey dinner with all the fixings on Thursday, February 2nd beginning at 4:30 p.m. Take-Outs will be available that night also.  Rumor has it that their famous Blueberry Cake will be on the menu for dessert.

Another event that will be happening soon at Methodist Church in Baileyville is their Free Family Movie Night.  This will take place February 10th and the movie will be “Trolls”, so mark your calendars. (I think I accidently said March last week)

Lucky Loser this week at Randy’s Variety is Carleton Davis.  To be a lucky loser, all you have to do is buy an online ticket at Randy’s, and if it is a loser put your name and number on the back and put it in for a second chance winner.

I have had a busy week. I attended the Beckett Center and went to WCCC for basketball and skill drills practice as we are preparing for the March Basketball Special Olympics to be held at the University of Maine in Orono.  I went to Linda’s Pizza on Thursday. Friday was order out day and I got a great lunch from Jo’s Pizza.  I attended Church and my cousin Alison Bohanon’s Baby Shower at the Spednic Club in Baileyville.  It was a great time, with lots of family and friends and delicious food.  Ali got a lot of nice presents for her son to be Asher Bohanon. He sure is already well loved and perhaps going to be the best dressed baby boy in Baileyville come March.  Ali’s daughter 2-year-old Cate helped her open all the presents, very rambunctiously.  As a matter of fact Cate almost stole the show, but for the fact she had friends to play with. Ava and Cameron Croman helped give Ali presents and played with Cate. We fit all this in even with a Snow/Ice Storm day on Tuesday.
