Violent north winds in February herald a fertile year.

February is Dental Health Month. Choose healthy snacks instead of surgery. It is also Black History Month and American Heart Month.

A most deserving young man, Nathan Ingersoll, receivd his Eagle Scout Award and badge. The ceremony was held on Saturday evening at the Methodist Church. The dining area was beautifully decorated with flags and lovely center pieces. The Webelos presented colors, allegiance and scout oath and law. Welcome by Heather Smale. A beautiful roast beef dinner was served by the Webelos, a great job. Cakes for dessert were made by Cheryl Ingersoll, mother of Nathan. A video presentation was shown. Special speakers

Joyce Maker; mother and father Ingersoll; Scott Harvey, Scout Executive; Chuck Major, District Executive.  Ray and Heather Smale did a wonderful job preparing food and  setting up. A very enjoyable evening. Sherri Oliver was the photographer. She loves to snap that button and is very good at it.

An evening Singspiration was held Sunday night at the Second Baptist Church. Several songs were sung. Baring Baptist choir attended. Pastor Matt Burden sang a song he had written. Very nice.  A great hour of joy and celebration.

St. Anne’s will host Boy Scout Sunday on February 5th.

The food pantry is in need of groceries.  This month is peanut butter and jelly. Bring to your church or drop off at the food pantry.

There will be a pot luck at Baring Baptist Church on February 4th at 5:30 p.m.

On February 4th, there is Farmer’s Market at the Algonquin in St. Andrews. 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., us time.

The hospital auxiliary will meet with a pot luck on Monday, February 6th at 5:30 p.m..
