High School Girls Action

The Lady Blue Devils fell behind early at Houlton trailing by 21 midway and losing at the horn 64-40. Flewelling paced the win with 23 points; Bouchard added 22, and Watson 8. In the loss Lauren Cook hit 15-points and netted Olivia Huckins 14.

At Eastport on Monday the Lady Dragons again stayed tight to the #2 rated Tigerettes playing through 32 minutes to an exciting 44-42 finish for the hosts. Katelyn Mitchell led the Shead win hitting 18 with Wilder chipping in 12. Jennie Cox continued to pace the Woodland squad with 16-points, Brooke Russell added 13 points, and Shawn Monk netted 8.

At Calais the Houlton Shiretowners took early control ending the first 16 minutes with a 29-17 advantage, playing to a 53-41 victory. Addison Coty paced the Blue Devil attack scoring 20 points in the team’s final contest. For the guests Clary netted 12 and Perfitt 11 points in the win

The Blue Devils traveled to Harrington on Monday and hung tough through three frames staying within 8-points most of the distance, but a big fourth gave the Knights a comfortable 59-38 victory. For Calais returning after an injury Jacob Hornbrook paced the Blue Devils with 12 points. Brandon Gillespie and Addison Coty added 9 each in the loss. Brettin Dinsmore hit 26 for Narraguagus; Ramsdell added 12, and Rumery 7.

Senior Blue Devil veteran and great team leader Brandon Gillespie had another superb game earning a double-double with 15 points and 16 rebounds to power his squad to a 40-34 victory over Bucksport. Coty and Collins added 8 each in the win. Allan had 10 for the guests, Steger 8, and Donnell 7 in the loss.
