Police and fire-crews were called to a field/yard near Indian Township School for a possible incident of arson. Though the day was overcast and light rain had showered the area, a fire directly adjacent to the pre-k and kindergarten building and Indian Township School parking lot managed to burn. The smell of smoke quickly filled the school buildings and alarms were sounded. Many teachers and staff of the school were informed they needed to move vehicles immediately, as they were at risk for also being consumed in the blaze. The fire was quickly subdued by the well trained and responsive crews from Indian Township Fire Department and no vehicles or school buildings were damaged.
