If you have a young person in your household or know one that has an interest in football, then don’t miss the upcoming free two-day football camp for youth in St. Stephen. The camp, which is open to boys and girls between the ages of 8 and 15 from the greater Calais and Charlotte County areas, requires no cost to participate.

“It’s for kids with no experience as well as kids with lots of experience,” said Ian Pratt, one of the organizers of the camp. “It’s mainly to see if they have an interest in football, since we don’t really have a football culture here.”

The camp will give its participants the opportunity to run drills, test their football skills, engage in teamwork building activities, and to have plenty of sports-themed fun. Children that wish to participate should wear tee-shirts, shorts, and non-metallic cleats, and they should be sure to bring their own water bottle.

The camp will be held on two separate days. The first day will be Thursday, August 10th from 6:30 to 8:30 and the second day will be Saturday, August 12th from 10 a.m. to noon. The camp will be held at the St. Stephen High School field.
